4G Network Now Up and running in Lagos and Abuja,
MTN has finally announce the lunch of their 4G network to all of its
customers in Nigeria. This MTN 4G network works for only compatible sim
cards only, to check if your sim card is compatible, text “4G” to 131
and you will receive a text message response telling you if your sim or
phone is compatible with the 4G network. If your mobile phone is not
compatible then you will need to change your mobile phone to a supported
4G smart phone while if your sim card is not compartible you will need
to do a sim swap to switch your line to a sim that is 4G-ready. This sim
cards are called token sim cards because it can not store phone numbers
(Contact).
